Comical Case of "Who's On First?" Illustrates Clerk Gastesi Commission No One is Responsible for County Property
Kiss Your Assets Goodbye

On the day when the headlines screamed of Lisa Druckemiller's indictment, you would think that the County Commission would err on the side of caution when presented with the prospect of missing property.
The Clerk suggests reasoning that if he had found out that there were missing iPads under Lisa Druckemiller's charge, he would have notified....Lisa Druckemiller... and the BOCC condones the logic. None of it is true, it is just that no one wants to accept responsibility. If this Clown Car Brigade of a County Commission can't manage easily traceable tagged assets, why would we be foolish enough to think they can manage anything...including over $200 Million of our money?
Some of this may not be criminal, (May not be, but one has to wonder if signing a document with blatantly false and misleading information is.) but I am reminded of the words that Assistant State Attorney Mark Wilson has told me on more than one occasion...you can't prosecute incompetence.
