So much for professional accreditation, right?
I mean while we're at it, I'm an MD too.

What was I thinking? All caught up in this career thing, when all I needed to do was pick one. I mean after all, it is simply some paper work and a couple of bucks, right?
Of course he claims it's just a matter of filling out a few bits of paper, checking a few boxes, writing a small check etc. Any anger over this is completely misplaced, and a political attack against him...like those that attack him for being a Christian...of course. (You know how we see Christians being dragged out of School District headquarters and set on fire all the time.)
It isn't really relevant that according to the Citizen that his New York CPA license lapsed in 1993. It certainly isn't an insult to those that actually complete and maintain the requirements to become a CPA, or to those applicants that were overlooked as a result of this misinformation, or to the taxpayers that over paid for these credentials, or to....well who doesn't this insult is the actual question...including Christians?
There is not one strange twisted bit of rationalization that can justify this one, and if anyone stands behind this they are just as culpable as Gentile. Anyone not calling for his immediate resignation should resign as well, there is no defense of this.
According to the Citizen, Gentile goes on to say "The district is making excellent progress in its financial accounting, said Gentile, and there are those in the Florida Keys that would prefer to see failure."
Hey, come on let's be real. Gentile and the esteemed Superintendent, Jesus "Skids R Greased" Jara, admitted that even they don't have a line item budget that they can review. I wrote about that here, in Superintendent Unable to View Line Item Budget.
No, we don't prefer to see failure, nor do we want to see mis-truths like recalculating our reserve fund by including inventory to make everyone feel all warm inside. Nor do we want to see our tax dollars go towards paying someone who misrepresents their credentials to us.
Larry Murray deserves a round of applause for exposing this, and further, it should be issue number one at any School Board Candidate forum. Also, for Jara to bring up Murray's timing of this as an issue is disingenuous and shows his colors. Jara should be concerned about one thing, and one thing only...how quickly can he escort Gentile off school property.
